The annual colloquium of structural engineering will take place on Nov. 30th, 2022. Fatemeh Waseq will report on wind energy engineering and the design of support structures for offshore wind turbines at the invitation of IWES.

In recent years, Rambøll has established itself as one of the most important partners for the design of support structures for offshore wind turbines. We are therefore pleased to have Fatemeh Waseq, engineer at Rambøll Deutschland GmbH, as a speaker at this year's Colloquium of Structural Engineering, or KIB Colloquium for short. In her lecture entitled

"Wind Energy Engineering - Design of Supporting Structures for Offshore Wind Turbines"

she will shed light on Rambøll's view of support structure design. Fatemeh Waseq successfully completed the master's degree programme in "Wind Energy Engineering" in Hanover a few years ago. During her studies, she attended numerous courses at IWES, where she learned the basics of wind energy engineering, among other things. She then started her professional life at Rambøll. We are very pleased that she will now be giving us insights into her everyday working life as part of the KIB Colloquium.

The KIB Colloquium is organised annually by nine institutes of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy at Leibniz Universität Hannover, including IWES. This year it will take place on Nov. 30th, 2022, in the Royal Horse Stables, Building 3440, Appelstr. 7, 30167 Hannover, starting at 2:00 pm. In a total of 8 lectures, visitors will be given interesting insights into the everyday working life of engineers from various disciplines of structural engineering. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to talk to the speakers over a drink and snacks.
