Felix Prigge is now joining our team and supports the Institute for Wind Energy Systems. We are very happy to have him on board.

The Institute for Wind Energy Systems welcomes its new staff member: Felix Prigge starts to support us in the coordinated research project ReliaBlade. Therein, he is going to deal with the Finite Element Modeling of single and double curved sandwich panels in wind turbine rotor blades. He will investigate the influence of resin channels and pre-damages on the buckling resistance of those panels.

Felix Prigge has studied Wind Energy Engineering at Leibniz University Hannover. He is thus perfectly prepared for his research tasks. He has prepared his Master''s Thesis entitled "Simulation of Decohesion in Adhesive Joints of Wind Turbine Rotor Blades Exposed to Quasi-Static Peeling Using Cohesive Interface Elements" at IWES. Moreover, he has already been student and scientific assistant at the institute for a long time.

ReliaBlade is an international coordinated research project, in which a German and a Danish consortium are joining their competences. The German project part is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. IWES cooperates therein with the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems. The Danish consortium consists of the DTU Wind Energy and a number of high-quality industry partners. In short term, we will provide additional information on the project in the Research Projects area.
